Route 60 to Route 66
From Amarillo, Texas—where the Mother Road, Route 66, still runs through our city—we have been praying for you and for Itamar Ben-Gvir. My friend Mike Isley has been praying too. We watched your video on the Israeli election results and the coming together of a nationalist government proud of Jewish identity. We thank Hashem for the strength you and the Otzma Yehudit list have brought to the fight against those who would erase the Jewish story of the land.
I am a Jew who did not know I was Jewish until later in life. My family is Levite from Spain, who came to New Spain in the 1500s. My grandfather and uncles tested positive as Cohens in 2017. Uncle Joseph Diaz and Uncle Benny Diaz have both passed. I can only tell you, Yishai, that it must have been from Hashem that I came to learn about my Jewishness. The path home is not always obvious, but it is always directed.
Beit Hashoavah Route 60 on Route 66
I serve as Hazan for Esnoga Beit HaShoavah, a synagogue of three families in Amarillo—two Jewish families and one Noahide family. My daughter converted and now lives in Florida. The Alvarez family, my cousins from the Cohen line that traveled from Spain with the Diaz family, saw their granddaughter marry an Israeli who lives there.
That family took seven years to return home through conversion. They do not want to fully return because the life of a Noahide feels less restrictive. I am not Shomer Shabbat. I will answer to Hashem for driving on Shabbat, yet I live in a war that has continued for 1,500 years or more.
Rabbi Mendel Kessin has spoken of France and Spain and the end of Edom. He draws on Isaiah and the teachings of our sages that the evil kings and nations who harmed the Jews will be reincarnated in the end of days to face judgment. The world is being judged. We, the Jewish people, are united for the first time in history in declaring that Route 60 is the only highway Hashem has given Adam to travel. Route 66 in Amarillo would like to say: Route 60 ahead—Jerusalem, Israel.
The Biblical Highway and the Mother Road
Israel’s Route 60 follows the ancient Way of the Patriarchs. It runs from Beersheba through Hebron, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Beit El, Shiloh, Shechem, and on toward the north. In June 2026 the Israeli government officially designated it the Biblical Highway (Derech HaTanach / Bible Road), creating a heritage route with signage, visitor sites, and educational programming modeled in part on America’s Route 66. Yishai, you have championed this for years—turning the road Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob traveled into a continuous corridor that teaches the Jewish story of the land.
Amarillo sits on historic Route 66. The Mother Road still runs through our city along Sixth Avenue and nearby corridors. Visitors come for the Historic District, the Cadillac Ranch, and the roadside culture that once carried America west. We are a small Jewish community in the Texas Panhandle, far from the centers of Jewish life, yet we stand on a road that once connected the continent. From here we point forward: the only highway that ultimately matters is the one Hashem prepared—the Biblical Highway that leads to Jerusalem.
Torah Codes and the Book Like No Other
The Torah is not like any other book. It is the Blueprint of Creation and the Tree of Life given to the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our task is to return that blueprint to the sons of Adam.
Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson’s podcasts and code tables continue the work begun by mathematicians and scientists such as Eliyahu Rips, Doron Witztum, and Robert Haralick.
The Bible Codes said Netanyahu would win.
Equidistant letter sequences (ELS) in the Hebrew text of Genesis produce statistically significant clusters of related words and dates that appear far more often than chance would allow.
Papers published in peer-reviewed journals, including Statistical Science, documented these patterns. Critics have challenged aspects of the methodology, yet the original findings and subsequent analyses by mathematicians and pattern-recognition experts keep pointing to the same conclusion: the Torah contains information that could not have been placed there by human authors writing millennia earlier.
Rabbi Glazerson has shown tables linking codes to the Messiah, the end of darkness, and events of our time. The greatest minds in mathematics and physics continue to examine these codes precisely because the Torah behaves like no other text.
This is not mysticism for its own sake. It is evidence that the book given to Israel is the operating system of creation itself. When we study it, teach it, and live by it, we return the Tree of Life to the world.
A Small Synagogue on the Road
Beit HaShoavah is a small Sephardic congregation in Amarillo. We pray in Hebrew, study the parsha, and welcome those returning from hidden Jewish ancestry as well as Noahides seeking the path of the God of Israel. From this corner of Route 66 we declare what the Jewish people are saying with greater clarity than at any time since the exile: Route 60 is the highway Hashem prepared. Everything else—every other road, every other story—must ultimately point there.
The Alvarez cousins and the Diaz family share the same Cohen and Levite lines that left Spain under pressure and traveled through New Spain. Some have returned fully. Others remain on the outer path of the Noahide laws. Both are part of the larger return. The war against the Jewish people has lasted centuries; the response is not only military or political. It is the steady work of teaching the blueprint, preserving the family story, and pointing every road toward Jerusalem.
Yishai, Amarillo was praying for you and for Ben-Gvir. We continue to pray. May the government that forms strengthen Israel’s Jewish identity, expand Aliyah, secure the land, and make the Biblical Highway a reality that every visitor can walk. From the Mother Road in the Texas Panhandle we say: Route 60 ahead. Jerusalem, Israel.
